Angela Arnone is a UK English native speaker, with bilingual skills, translating from Italian. A Modern Languages graduate of Liverpool University and member of the CIoL, she has lived in Italy since 1983.
She is now a fulltime freelance translator and interpreter who has produced an extensive portfolio of translations for many sectors, but today works chiefly in art, tourism, and fine food and wine texts.
Angela joined the Gambero Rosso Italian Wines translation team in 2008 and is currently its coordinator.

Giulio Colomba is a journalist. He graduated in Biological Sciences and went on to teach. He is the author of several articles, specifically regarding biochemistry, published by numerous scientific journals, mainly Friuli Medico. Giulio was a co-founder of Slow Food, the international movement of which Slow Food Italia is a branch, and was vice-chairman in 1997, then for the four-year term 1998–2002
Richard Baudains journalist and translator - Richard Baudains was born and bred in Jersey in the Channel Islands and trained to be a teacher of English as a foreign language in order to satisfy his wanderlust. After several years in various foreign climes, Baudains settled down in beautiful Friuli-Venezia Giulia, having had the good fortune to reside previously in the winemaking regions of Piemonte, Tuscany, Liguria and Trentino-Alto Adige. Baudains wrote his first article for Decanter in 1989 and has been a regular contributor on Italian wines ever since.
Ailsa Wood was born in Canada and grew up in the UK. After graduating in French and Italian Studies at the University of Reading in 1988, she gained an RSA certificate in EFL and moved to Italy in 1989. She works as a translator and interpreter, specializing in wine and food, tourism and local history, and early childhood education. Since 2002 she has been on the team of translators for the English edition of Gambero Rosso’s Italian Wines. She works as an interpreter for delegations visiting the early childhood centres in Pistoia, where she has lived and taught English since 1993.

Amber Cassese is a US-born and educated Italian-to-English translator and copywriter, specializing in fine food and wine, tourism, and editorial texts. She is also a sommelier, certified in 2014 by AIS – the Italian Sommelier Association. Amber provides freelance translations to a number of wineries, trade events, and a major importer of fine Italian wines. She considers herself fortunate to be able to combine two of her greatest passions in her work – wine and words.

Anthony Green - A native speaker of British English and Oxford University modern languages graduate, Anthony Green’s passion for a spot of fine Primitivo led him to up sticks for Puglia, the heel of Italy, where he specializes in translating documentation for winegrowers and wildlife documentary makers, as well as teaching his mother tongue to undergraduates in veterinarian studies at Bari University. In 2014 Anthony was recruited to the translation team for Gambero Rosso’s Italian Wines.

Sarah Ponting was born and grew up in the UK, before moving to Italy in 1986. She has a degree in history of art and works full time as a freelance translator for the publishing sector, specializing in art, food and wine, and travel. She has been part of the translation team for Gambero Rosso’s Italian Wines guide since 2008.

Simon Tanner lives in Sicily and has been translating for over 20 years in various fields, mainly food and wine, law, classical studies and history of art, and also teaches translation at the University of Messina. He is a full member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting. He also translates on a daily basis for the online version of Italy's leading newspaper, Corriere della Sera. His published academic research is mainly in the fields of translation studies, legal English and English literature. He has been part of Gambero Rosso's Italian Wines translation team since 2010.
